User Tags
Overview
User tags are qualitative labels that can be applied to providers. Tags are classified as Visible, meaning they appear on the user's profile when viewed by other users, or Not Visible, meaning they will not appear on the user's profile and are only used for internal reporting (e.g. Quicksight).
Some examples of Visible Tags:
- A distinction, e.g. Washingtonian's Top 100 Doctors
- A quality metric, e.g. NCQA Certified
- A sub-speciality, e.g. Ankle specialist
An examples of Not Visible Tags:
- One of our partner's classifications, e.g. CareFirst: Red (indicating a high cost or low quality provider)
Managing Tags
- Before a tag can be added to a provider, a PicassoMD admins must create the tag (e.g. providers can't make up their own tags)
- Tags can be created and managed from the Tags section of the admin dashboard
- When creating a tag, you must specify the tag name and whether it is Visible or not
- You cannot create a new tag if the tag name already exists (either as an active or archived tag)
- You can edit a tag name, which will change the tag everywhere it's displayed, but you cannot edit whether a tag is visible or not
- Archiving a tag means that tags is never shown anywhere
Applying Tags
- Providers, practice admins, and PicassoMD admins can view, add, or remove visible tags from the provider's page
- Only PicassoMD admins can view, add, or remove invisible tags from the provider

- Once applied, visible tags will appear on the provider profile in the app
