Duplicating Referrals
Why duplicate a referral?
- If you would like to send the same patient to multiple specialists, consider duplicating the referral. Using the duplication feature will eliminate the need to enter the same patient information multiple times. You can use this feature on both the mobile app and the web.

Who can duplicate a referral?
- Providers, Referral Coordinators, and Practice Administrators can duplicate referrals as long as the referral is less than 90 days and does not already have a scheduled appointment.
Sending Multiple Referrals at the Point of Care:
- If you know you would like to send the patient to more than one specialist at the point of care, it may be easiest to duplicate the referral immediately after sending a referral. To do this, send a referral like you normally would, and on the referral confirmation screen, you'll see "Want to refer this patient to another specialist? Click here"
- When you select "Click here", you will need to select the specialist for whom you'd like to receive this next referral.
- The patient information will already be filled in for you, but please make sure the reason for referral is still applicable. If not, you can change it without impacting any patient information.
Sending Referrals after the Point of Care:
- If you decide you'd like to send a patient to another specialist at any time, simply search for the specific patient on the referral dashboard and click on the referral details view. At the top of this view, you'll see a "Duplicate" button. Tap this to duplicate the referral.
- You'll need to select the specialist for whom you'd like to receive this next referral.
- As mentioned above, the patient information will already be input but please check the reason for referral to ensure it is still applicable for this referral you are sending.
