Update Feed
Overview: The Update Feed is a singular place to view and interact with anything you may have missed or need to take action on.
The Update Feed is depicted as a bell icon. When there are new updates, we'll display the number of those updates on the bell. For example, if there are six new updates, you'll see the "6".
All unread updates will have a blue dot in the upper left corner. Once you've viewed the update, we'll remove the update number and blue dot.
Types of Updates
New Referral | Every time you receive a new referral, we'll send you an update with the referral acuity (emergent, urgent, or routine), the patient's name, and the referring provider. |
Referral Viewed | When a referral is viewed by either the referral coordinator or provider, we'll let the initiating practice know. This keeps them in the loop. |
Outreach Logged | When the referral recipient logs an outreach, we'll let the initiating care team know. |
Appointment Date Added/Changed/ Canceled | If an appointment date is added, changed, or canceled, we will send the initiating care team an update. |
Provider Reassigned Event | If the referral is reassigned to a new provider or from "anyone at the practice" to a specific provider, we will send an update to the initiating care team. |
Referral Note Added Event | If a referral note is added by a member of the other care team, we will send an update. This ensures no referral note slips through the crack. |
Visit Completed Event | When a visit is marked as completed, we'll let the initiating care team know the patient was seen. |
Unknown Insurance Event | If you are a specialist practice that receives a referral but has no list of accepted insurances, we will send an update to your practice manager instructing them to add accepted insurances. This helps referring providers know where they can send their patients. |
Referral Made Inactive Event | If the referral recipient makes the referral inactive (the patient is unreachable, maximum outreach attempts have been made, or the patient declined to come in), we will send an update to the referring provider. |
25 Days without Appointment Date Event | If a referral does not have an appointment date within 25 days of the day it was sent, we will send an update asking the referral recipient to add a date or update the referral status. |
Outreach Reminder | If the referral recipient did not remove the outreach reminder, we will send them an update to reach out to the patient after some time has passed. The time between outreach reminders is based on the acuity of referrals. We will send outreach reminder updates more frequently for emergent/ urgent referrals. |
