First Available Curbsides

Summary: This article will provide an overview on the First Available Curbsides feature. First Available Curbsides are great if you need a quick response and don’t have a specific preference for the curbside responder. If you would like to curbside a specific provider and do not need a quick response, please see this article on how to send an Individual Provider Curbside.

Video Overview:

  • "First available" curbsides are best suited for more urgent questions when you need real-time answers.

    • Specialists are sequentially contacted based on your personal favorites, practice's favorites, network, CIN/ACO, and, finally, will go to a member of the bench if none of the previously mentioned providers are available.
  • You can start a “First Available” curbside from two different places:

      • From the Home Screen: tap "First Available Curbside" in the "Start a..." section
      • From the Curbside tab: tap the “First Available” button located on the bottom right of the Curbside screen. (Image from curbside landing page)
    • Next, select the specialty you would like to contact.

    • Enter your patient's first and last name, then choose what your plan is before starting the curbside.
    • While we’re finding an available specialist, please enter your curbside question. This will help the specialist respond quickly.
    • In most cases, you’ll be connected to a specialist in two minutes or less:
      • For less common specialties it may take longer. When that happens, we recommend that you do NOT cancel your curbside as this will only extend your wait time. To see a list of average time to connect by specialty, click here.
      • We’ll send you a notification when you’re connected with a specialist.
      • You can cancel the search for a specialist by tapping the back arrow "<"  and then tapping the "Cancel" button.

Curbside Transcripts

  • The curbside transcript includes the full dialogue between the curbside initiator and recipient. After a curbside is ended, PicassoMD will send the curbside transcript directly to the initiator's email.
    • Curbside transcripts are only available to providers and practice admin.
    • Note: Providers will receive the transcript one they are done and have closed the curbside.

  • To the your curbside transcript in the web app... start off by clicking on 'Curbsides' in the left hand navigation bar.
